For the inside I went with the excellent Severn Models signal box interior kit.
Making the frames.
Lots of nice levers. Getting them all in line is like herding cats.
The shelf.
After moving the box from being Soddingham-under-Piddle there was some upset about being down graded from an A box to a B. Investigations revealed that the dispute might have been more serious that first thought.
Assembling the windows.
Making sure all is square.
The floor goes in.
The roof.
All done.
Looks about right there.

To have a chimney that size there would have to be a massive breast inside, so off came the chimney.
A lever. Nice.
This worked.
Finally done.
The shelf populated. The original layout only had one single line.
Order restored. And a clock added. It's one token machine short now, I may sort that one day. One day....
I wasn't happy with the roof, it was too 2d. So I cut up a ruck of 12x24" (7x14mm) slates. I created a jig to make this easier and was at first annoyed that the results were not entirely consistent. The I realised that that was Good Thing, and indeed butchered a percentage of them.
This took a lot longer than expected...

The was the original Soddingham-under-Piddle box and I actually went to the bother of assigning and painting the levers as they should be for the track and signals. After the layout expansion I had the excuse the install the Monk's Gate box, I'd wanted to do it for ages but for the original layout it was way too big. So this box became Desolation Row, controlling access the Weavers sleeper recycling yard. A ground frame would be more likely, but, well, y' know. I wasn't sure how Westerny this box was until I watched an BR instructional video about dealing with a failed train filmed on a WR branch line - and there it was. I removed the chimney and installed the stove instead - a chimney breast would have taken up all the space unless it stuck out the back.
