Roaming Handset Plugin

Nice as a radio handset would be, a price equivalent to a small house rules it out. I had set up things using Rocrail so I could use my phone/tablet for roaming but I really don't get on with screen sliders, my finger keeps wondering off when I look away form the screen. So I've gone down then plugin-in route using Lenz gizmos. I think I will need three so I cam sit at each shunting location without having to stretch the handset lead (and break it again). Looks the part too!

DCC, Computer, WiFi

It's a bit difficult to take photos of electrons, so I'll just have to write stuff instead. I guess the first thing is: Did I actually need to go DCC? The answer is 'No', but with a lot of buts that will come out below. With the original layout and lots of section switches I could do anything with DC that DCC can, right?. Well, that's how I saw it, and how a lot of protagonists on the web see it, and it's not true. As an extreme example, I can have all four engines running round in a circle at the same time (you could do that in DC) and control the speed of each individually (you cannot do that in DC). But the real issue is that the 14xx's fire box glows all the time, in use or not. That's the clincher ;-)
