Camouflage Tin Shed

Not a wagon in sight! I finally wired up the last two point motors with an eBay bought decoder - it worked, but chattered away to itself before expiring on day two. Unfortunately I'd already left feedback several weeks ago, but lesson learned - ask myself why someone was selling it and don't believe the nonsense about re-building the layout. Ho hum. So TMC supplied another one that arrived next day! Then I shorted it reversing the frog wires without bothering to power off. Another ho hum. A second one is on it's way.

Meanwhile, what with being old and crumbly these days making trips under the baseboard something of a nightmare, I wasn't about to put the point motors underneath so they went behind the wall (this was actually planned, no really...). Obviously they needed hiding so after some cogitation I concluded an old tin barn might be just the thing. Hobby Holidays provided (I mean sold me, they don't just hand stuff out) some corrugated sheet which I solemnly chopped up into 8ft x 3ft 6in sheets. I thought they would be standard sizes when researching, but it turns out there are a whole lot of different standard sizes just to keep things interesting. So I built a frame of left over 'sprue' from a laser cut kit and some balsa and happily stuck the sheets onto it and myself. And here it is, it actually took a lot longer than expected but I quite enjoyed making it. Some more flora will go in when I'm sure all is well electrically so I don't have to access the solenoids again (yeah, I don't believe that either). A planked walkway will go alongside the track to hide to rods. Prone to flooding or something is my excuse. Also the walls shrunk... need some filler there.
