A nice box. Always makes positive waves.
The brass is of industrial gauge, with nice deep fold lines.
Bits and bobs fitted.
Using a stirrer to get the steps in the right place. Or at least equal. The brackets holding the running boards are thin, it's all a bit wobbly.
- Everything attached on the chassis. Getting the bogie and body running boards to line up was, ahem, frustrating...
These had been out of stock for a while before I could get one - nice shiny brass. The castings are good, but not the best, some cleaning up was needed.

Underneath all fits well, makes life a lot easier.
When I can, i.e. when the design makes it possible, I fit roller bearings - dead cheap from AliExpress. This only works for Peartree wheels, Slaters have thicker axles. I drill a 4mm hole such that they fit flush, wipe the inside of the hole with super glue and then push the bearing in. They stick, and I've not had any problems with glue getting into the bearings. Yet, anyway.

This was one of those "I've got to build one of those" jobbies. I'd never heard of these vans and though it would be a nice antidote to the inevitable Queen Mary vans (yes, I know whats in the background ;-) ). I never found a source for transfers - there was meant to be quite a lot of lettering about it's restricted use on the sides. This wagon was sold, but I do have a hankering to build another for some reason.
