The wagons lasted well into BR days, seemingly ending up in the Engineers fleet. Not the sort of wagon that attracts attention, but a big part of the railway scene for many years. This one still carries a Southern Region number despite the year and it being unfitted (the SR went fully-fitted-only in 1977).
