1mm holes drilled up into the lamp from below, and through the lamp 'lens' on the front. The sub-mm LES is the fed up until it shires through the 'lenz' hole, and then secured with contact adhesive. A small disc of rec plastic from a signal lens sheet finished the job.
The wires can be attached to the buffers as is convenient, the leads on these LEDs are not far off scale.
An easy little job that looks dead cool. It's a bit bright, so a dad of dilute black will get applied.
