Progress with the LNWR Motor Car Vans has resumed with the arrival of the rollers. The side strapping was a tad hard to bend by hand without risk of kinks, so I splashed out...
... and this arrived. A tad more industrial than it looked in the ad.
And not forgetting the Conflat Bs. After stripping the containers with Niromors, they got a coat of Railmatch etch primer. This worked much better than either of the 'universal' primers. It did look a bit patchy, but when dried the surface was smooth. The containers then got sprayed white, and masking done for the greys. This time, finally, the white stayed on with lifting at all. This one has been sprayed with gloss varnish ready for transfers.
The other two waiting in the wings for strapping. Getting there.
