Progress And A New Start

The Cardon wagon is finally complete with the hand brake pin racks from Hobby Holidays being fitted. The hand brake levers, or one at least, made no sense so a couple from the spares box have been fitted to match the prototype photo. Painting tomorrow...

The Mica B is painted, but there was a disaster with the transfers, the supplied ones seem more like Gauge 1 than O. I managed to find a set from another supplier, so back to waiting for Postman Pat.

Gallons of Microsol later, the Conflat B container's transfers are slowly taking shape. There comes a point where enough is enough with these, already some touching up is needed.

So when you've got several projects on the go it's obvious that the bast idea is to start another one. In this case, a pair of LNER/BR 21t hoppers by Dorset Models - a new name for me. With 388 rivets on each wagon, the second one is probably going to be  finished as welded version. So far so good with this, and the castings are nice and crisp too. Nice to be  back in more my era after a run of rather older prototypes.
