As ever this Connoisseur kit went together excellently, with really crisp castings. The long bends for the sole bars take some care. In the end I started the bends with bending bars, they always slipped out, and finished them with a small hammer. Holding the brass in the bars I gently tapped brass a bit at a time up and down the length until the 90' angle was achieved using the bars as an anvil. Patience is required, but it works just fine. Though this was built a while back, I've still not got around to weathering the transfers, adding the load chains or finishing the home brewed load supports. It took some finding to discover how large pipe loads were supported, turns out they were custom made for the particular load.
